1359 (10") Floating Hotel - Tonle Sap. Category 06: Resort Houses
Andrew McMullan: United Kingdom
The Floating Hotel is designed for Tonle Sap, the largest lake in Cambodia. Inhabitants of this lake live in floating houses that move up and down the shoreline as the water levels rise and fall with the seasons. The Floating Hotel is intended to be built from local bamboo species, and to float on the lake with simple deconstruction/reconstruction methods to adapt to the ever-changing water levels of Tonle Sap.
