More than a house design, these designers present a design for a whole burgeoning community. 80% of the residents of Addis Ababa are slum dwellers, and these designers have come up with a feasible 6-year plan to plant a bamboo plantation, using the space as an informal market in the interim, and creating plenty of jobs once the bamboo is ready for harvest and construction.
